The antique/flea market season begins. The single lizard is sterling. The pair looks like silver but neither I nor the dealer could read the marks for sure. The octopus is pure honest costume, a good heavy piece, seems early 60s to me. That's Cosmo's tail for size comparison (and because I couldn't get him out of the way).
Saw some serious steampunk, some of it intentional. And the guys who were selling empanadas are my new best friends. Also the couple who chucked their day jobs to sell handmade chocolate sauces. Cosmo had to get in on that, too. Saw a couple of old guitars, one tenor sax, and no ukes. But an old Lyon & Healy harp case is a swell object and would make for a brilliant bookcase. If you needed a project. The Chicago Randolph Street Market goes outdoors monthly starting in April.
