Approaching Singularity

Ack, the World Wide Web is taking several of my separate hobbies and combining them.  I crochet.  I play uke.  I watch some anime and I know some filmmakers.  But I have never intended to do anything remotely like this.  Has the zeitgeist somehow plugged into my brain?  Will I feel compelled to learn this song?  Is my consciousness already part of the looming and unbearably cute singularity that will eat the universe!?  And why should I suffer alone when I can post this link to all of you?
