Stuff and Bother and Chocolate
Jul. 13th, 2012 03:30 pmAt this rate I'll never get proper posts done, so just to catch up on Chicago-area news:
Auditions are Saturday afternoon for the Moebius Theatre show at Chicon. Read about it here.
Playing FitzGerald's again (I know, I know... ) at a benefit for the Oak Park Festival Theatre this Tuesday evening, July 17th.
Musecon schedule, Saturday afternoon: Improv workshop 1:30. Ukulele summit 3:00.
Restaurants near Chicon: Cantina Laredo has a good bar for people-watching, and they send a guacamole cart around to mix your guac to order. But the food? Zzzzzzz. Eat here instead...

See, it says "one way." I wanted to write about the hot chocolate at Xoco, where Rick Bayless imports Mexican cacao beans and roasts and grinds them onsite. But I can't put it into words except for this one thought I had while downing a shot of almendrado: this must be what freebasing feels like. Whee!
