There is a 15-gallon fish tank in my garage with a splash panel attached to a pulley.

Also a Wheel-of-Foley.

Then there's a half-sized door with an inordinate amount of locking hardware.  And an automated footstep-making machine with handcrank, mounted on the frame of an antique sewing machine table.  In the closet are three passably-19th-century outfits for The Blake Family Steampunk Orchestra.  My script is marked in three highlighter colors: one for music cues, one for voice actor cues (I play a staghound) and one for foley cues (I play the Pacific Ocean... except when [livejournal.com profile] e_m_b does).  I have just now installed new strings on the octave dulcimette and I'll need a bag for the alto recorder so it can hang on the music stand out of the way while I'm playing the doumbek. Must remember to complete the handoff of the ukulele before the end of Scene 9.  I continue to insist that I am not a musician, although at the moment I happen to be 1/3rd of a pit orchestra.

All in a day's work for Moebius Theatre.  The Island of Doctor Moreau.  In a production that I guarantee you have not seen the like of before.  I just hope we all survive the sound check.  See you at Chicon on Friday night in the Grand Ballroom.
