Thanksgiving Weekend Debriefing
This weekend I learned several things including:
1) Chambanacon attendance was higher than even the optimists predicted. After years in the wilderness, they have a good hotel in the motherland (Urbana Illinois). You should go next year. (Info for 2012 isn't up yet, but should be soon)
2) I am now only two degrees of separation from Cab Calloway. Which is down from three degrees previously and as low as I'm going to get.
3) I should check out this source for designer chocolates and caramels: http://www.katherine-anne.com/
4) The rodent brain thinks like this: It's quiet up there. I think the humans have abandoned the house. This means it's safe to go into the kitchen.
5) The 1-year-old cat, despite educational deficits owing to his being orphaned at 4-1/2 weeks, turns out to be a good mouser. However, he needs a lesson about proper places to dismantle mice.
Yet to be learned (suggestions gratefully accepted): Where can I get a waterproof bedspread?
