Emergency Uke Notice
For those of you who might be in the vicinity and inclined to take a "Holiday Walk," the Harrison Street Ukulele Players will be performing at 7401 W. Madison Street in Forest Park, IL, tonight. 6-10 p.m. Indoors, thank goodness. I would have provided you with earlier notice, except I only learned about the gig last night and got co-opted.
For those of you keeping score, this is my first crossover to the other side of the Great Ukulele Schism of 2008 for purposes of public performance. As always, I continue to treasure the fellowship of ukulele players in any socio-political context and my office will issue an official statement to that effect at a later time. I will be a good guest. I will not insist that Werewolves of London is a Christmas song. I will even agree to playing Santa Claus is Coming to Town in a manner not in keeping with Bruce Springsteen if you think that's really necessary. But under my breath I will be saying: Bruce! Bruuuuuuuuuuuce!
