Smithsonian Reef: Davenport
Dec. 31st, 2011 03:44 pmSmithsonian Reef: Davenport, a set on Flickr.
So that exhibit I created for the Smithsonian's National Museum of Natural History -- well, ok, fine, it was me and several hundred other fiber artists -- is now on a 3-year loan to the Putnam Museum in Davenport. From whence we have just returned on a whirlwind tour during which, inexplicably, we did not run into a single Republican presidential candidate. So it was a good time. I have no idea what happens when I post this. I'm using Flickr's "post to LiveJournal" feature. ETA: Which is pretty cool.
That's Bix Beiderbecke's cornet, the other most interesting thing in the Putnam Museum, at least to my family. All of whom, incidentally, wish you a Happy and Prosperous New Year.
