Pessimism at the Farmers' Market
Oct. 8th, 2012 02:31 pmIt was a bad drought year for the Midwest, but it really?

It wasn't all gloom at the Farmers' Market Saturday. Get those Halloween outfits ready and watch out for Oscar's Hairy Balls...

Today happens to be the 24th anniversary of me getting married to This Guy, who knows his way through a mountain of green beans. Which sounds like a metaphor but I can't come up with anything so we'll just leave it at that. Go find a mountain of green beans, drizzle them with olive oil, spread them on a baking sheet and roast at 475 F for 10 minutes. Trust me on this. I am a lucky woman with good green beans and a good husband.
