This Should Not Be

Now I realize that the President of the United States is supposed to be considered an ordinary citizen (George Washington insisted on "Mr. President" instead of some more highfalutin' title).  And the dignity of the office has certainly been eroded over the decades through events too numerous to mention.  But did it have to come to THIS?  I pick up the ringing telephone, I hear yet again "Hi, this is President Barack Obama" and I say "oh go stuff* yourself" and hang up.  The POTUS is now a telemarketing pest?

I swear, if I get One More Phone Call from Barack Obama today I'll stop inviting him over on Scrabble* nights.

But I'd still love to invite Tony Peraica and Jeff Tobolski (and Tobolski's pet police chief) over for scrapbooking.

And Mr. Obama asked us "Do you want to continue the failed policies of the past...?" Seriously? Uh, no, and can you guess how I'm voting?
