acmespaceshipOver the craggy mountains, across the perilous swamps, through the tangled undergrowth and at last, torn and exhausted, across the finish line. I have just submitted our Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). If you can figure out the FAFSA, you don't need college.
Financial aid forms were so much easier back when I was a student and my divorced mother was a W-2 employee. Now I am incorporated and the 1040A is a ghost fading into memory, rather like size 12 jeans and the yakisoba at New Japan on Division Street. I don't really miss the 1040A or the jeans, but oh man, that yakisoba.
You know that feeling when you notice your neurons shutting down, one by one, after they've flamed out on a project? Good thing it's Thursday and I can veg out watching CSI, Grey's Anatomy and The Office simultaneously (which leads to interesting plot lines) since my brain won't be good for anything else. Good night.
