I am sick of stupid people: Garden Edition

This is a day to celebrate smart people like Charles Darwin and Abraham Lincoln.  And I'll take Joe Garagiola, too, per shsilver  although I'll pass on Charles Van Doren (clever but ultimately not too smart, eh?)   This is not a day to waste our time on creationists or Congress or octuplet mothers or people who think vaccines cause autism (and that's just the CNN home page today).

And yet ...  I feel compelled to share this "money-saving tip" from a gardening magazine:

"After years of giving feed corn to our hungry squirrels during the winter...

"... and raking bushels of fallen acorns from our tree for garbage pickup, I finally put two and two together.  Now I gather all the nuts... the squirrels love eating them... I save a bundle of money by not paying for all that corn!"

YEARS!?  It took this guy YEARS to figure out that acorns are food for squirrels!? 

I bet he chops down trees and wonders why birds aren't nesting in his yard anymore.
