My Capricon Schedule

Saturday: Drive to Wheeling, Buy 1-day membership. Hang Out.
Sunday: Leave Cap at 2 a.m.  Catch Leon Redbone at Fitzgerald's.

I skipped over a few details.

Diddy Wah Diddy
The Sheik of Araby
Marie
Where Shall I Be?
Desert Blues
It's a Lonely World
Goodbye Charlie Blues
I Ain't Got Nobody
Oh Susanna, Dust Off That Old Piano
My Walking Stick
My Blue Heaven
Lazy Bones
Polly Wolly Doodle
Encore:  If We Meet Again This Side of Heaven

I may have neglected to note a few songs.  The "opening act," since Leon does not like to be preceded by music, was a showing of Buster Keaton's 1921 short The Boat. The (excellent) pianist played a Jelly Roll Morton rag and various stories, ramblings, and guitar noodles filled out the show.  Afterwards, Fitzgerald's timeshifted the Grammy telecast so we could all place bets on the exact moment when Little Steven Van Zandt will finally miscalculate by a few inches and bite the head off Bruce Springsteen's microphone.  Not yet, but surely soon enough.

What a fantastic opening act. That just sounds wicked cool.
