You can nominate three actors for a single role as a single nomination? Really?
Tony Nominationsand random observations...
Tony voters this year had short memories. Shows that closed earlier in the season were shut out. Perhaps Broadway producers will start timing their openings the way Hollywood releases Oscar contenders -- if you want a nomination, you don't open before November.
"Nothing happens, nobody comes, nobody goes, it's awful" -- Nathan Lane, Bill Irwin and John Goodman -- who are still waiting.
Allison Janney can sing? Cool.
Good on 'ya, Jerry Herman, Angela Lansbury (Madame Arcati, had to happen), Phyllis Newman and Shirley Herz.
And R.I.P. Dom DeLuise.
