Another one of those mornings when I wake up snarled in the cultural mainstream through no fault of my own. The Chicago Tribune tells us about a jam-packed summer of "sci-fi" conventions. It's like when you're floating in a quiet tide pool off to the side of the beach and suddenly a wave crashes through and you get dragged out into the entire freaking ocean and you're thinking: what are all these fish doing here?
Sometimes when I am biking to ukulele club, I think I must be the only middle-aged woman in Oak Park currently riding a bicycle with a ukulele on the fender... but I have the sneaking suspicion I may not be. What do you do that's unique? Or OUGHT to be unique?

I draw a daily webcomic that's scheduled to last exactly twenty-five years. About King Arthur traveling through time.

Oh, I know, I've been known to Twitter with fictional characters. I have an online buddy who works through her writers block by having twitter accounts for her characters. Little bit of writing exercise, little bit of improv...

Hmm, unique. About as close as I come is taking scads of pictures at burlesque shows and NOT have the performers hate me or my pictures.
BTW I'm gonna be at Windycon this year; I'm looking forward to seeing you and yours at the art auction!
